Koen Van Belle (1968), Borgerhout, Antwerp, Belgium
When I was fifteen I bought my first camera, a Nikon EM with a 50mm lens.
I studied photography at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and graduated in 1992.
My main subjects are street scenes and cityscapes. I prefer "slow travel", to take time to immerse myself in the atmosphere of a location.
After exploring a city for a while, I have to escape the hectic city life to reconnect with the wilderness.
